Christian Nett, born 1981, Master Winemaker and Viticulturist
By the age of 20 “junior” had already had his first year working in the winery behind him. After having served his apprenticeship in some of the finest wineries in the Palatine, he took over the running of the cellar, planted new vine sorts and introduced his own quality system.
In 2004 he successfully completed his final “Master Winemaker” examinations. 2006 saw him achieve 3rd place in the German Agriculture Institute`s (DGL) first “German Young Winemaker” competition. Thus he has set his own markers for the coming years.
Specific areas of responsibility in the winery:
- Full responsibility of the cellars
- Setting `quality increasing measures´ in the vineyards
- Choosing wine sorts
- Coordinating all areas of the winery
- Sales and Presentations
